March 9-12, 2025

The 2025 ILTCI conference will be taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Fuzion is proud to be a Diamond Level sponsor once again. This annual conference is a highlight for long-term care insurance industry professionals and provides attendees with opportunities to interact with colleagues and to participate in educational sessions which offer insights, updates, and innovations in long-term care insurance.

Several Fuzion leaders will be speaking on the following topics:

 

  • Debbie Maas, SVP of Communications and Client Engagement, is producing and speaking on the panel entitled “The Knockout Guide to Engaging Policyholders.” Proven strategies and best practices for meaningful policyholder engagement and communication will be explored in this session. Additional topics such as customer research, personalized communications, and the benefits of a customer-centric approach to business decisions and external interactions will be discussed.

  • Duane Anderson, SVP and Chief Technology Officer is speaking on a panel entitled, “Cybersecurity Showdown: Defending the Insurance Ring.” Cybersecurity is a critical issue in the insurance industry. The session will focus on the unique risks insurers face, such as data breaches and ransomware attacks, with strategies to mitigate these threats. Other topics will include ways to guard against these incidents, as well as industry standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices for protecting customer information and ensuring the security and trust of your clients in an increasingly digital world.
     

  • Mary Miller, VP of Human Resources and Organizational Performance, is producing and Julie Peterson, VP of Operations is speaking on a panel entitled, “Securing the Future: Succession Planning and Knowledge Transfer in Insurance.” Focusing on succession planning and knowledge transfer, this discussion will address the challenges of an aging workforce. Panelists will discuss strategies to retain valuable expertise and ensure operational continuity with effective knowledge transfer processes, including mentorship programs, documentation practices, and technology enablement.

October 9-11, 2024

Fuzion is proud of its long-standing affiliation with the Long-Term Care International Forum, including attending its annual education and networking event and sponsoring its webinar series. During this year’s LTCIF Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, Fuzion leaders will once again welcome the exciting opportunity to present on topics of value and interest to our industry colleagues including:

 

  • Jane Menin Bagley, Fuzion General Counsel and Chief Fraud Officer and LTCIF Program Chair, speaking on the essentials that should be in every LTCI carrier’s fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) toolkit and how, when, and if to use them.

  • Debbie Maas, SVP of Communications and Client Engagement, who also serves on the  LTCIF Board of Directors, speaking on the ins and outs of using focus groups to enhance your policyholder experience. In addition to diving deep into the step-by-step approach of conducting an effective focus group, this session will also touch on other qualitative and quantitative research studies.

September 8-10, 2024

Fuzion is proud to join the best industry leaders from across the life, health, long-term care, and disability claims fields for the ICA Annual Education Conference. Hosted by the oldest claims association, this conference offers insightful discussions, sparks innovations, and provides unparalleled networking opportunities to insurance professionals. During this year’s event in Grapevine, Texas, Fuzion leaders will be involved in the following sessions:

 

  • Under the topic category of Business / IT Partnerships for Successful Projects, VP of Operations Julie Peterson will moderate an interactive panel session “Navigating the Tech Terrain: Creating  IT and Business Synergy to Steer Project Success” to encourage insightful dialogue about the partnership between business leaders, subject matter specialists, and IT professionals and why that partnership is essential for aligning and allocating appropriate resources and flawless execution of technology projects.

 

  • Mary Miller, VP of Human Resources, will lend her expertise to the panel discussion “Finders, Keepers: Creative Ideas for Attracting and Retaining a Quality LTCi Workforce” focusing on how the exacerbation of staffing challenges in the healthcare industry due to the pandemic has extended to the LTCi sector and the innovative approaches that can be applied to help address these challenges. Debbie Maas, SVP of Communications and Client Engagement, will moderate this session which will share smart solutions for ensuring the best possible outcomes for both employees and the industry.

March 17-20, 2024

2024 Intercompany Long Term Care Insurance Conference

Professionals in the long-term care insurance industry are lucky to have the ILTCI Conference, an annual event not to be missed! Beginning on St. Patrick’s Day, the conference will take place in San Diego, California, and Fuzion is a proud Diamond Level-sponsor of this well-attended event. The conference will provide industry colleagues the golden opportunity to participate in educational sessions designed to offer industry insights, updates, and innovations. Several Fuzion leaders will be involved in the following sessions and panels:

 

  • Under the Claims & Underwriting session track, Jane Menin Bagley, General Counsel and Chief Fraud Officer, produced and will moderate an engaging session with a panel of experts, including a California District Attorney, to discuss perspectives related to elder abuse and LTCi fraud. The session will include a review of case studies and discussion of lessons learned, including important considerations for carriers and TPA’s to enhance their processes and documentation.

 

  • Under the Management & Operations session track, Mary Miller, VP of Human Resources will share her organizational development expertise in a session on change management and knowledge management entitled “The Only Thing We Have to Change is Change Itself.” This session will be moderated by Debbie Maas, VP of Communications and Client Engagement.

 

  • Debbie will also moderate a panel discussion on “Personas to Personalization, Bringing Campaigns to ‘Life’” under the Marketing, Engagement & Research session track. This session will include some great customer engagement case studies and discussions around targeted customer communications.

International Claim Association 2023 Annual Education Conference

Fuzion looks forward to its involvement in this year’s ICA Annual Education Conference, the premier event for connecting and empowering insurance professionals in the life, health, long-term care, and disability claims fields. During the event to be held in Marco Island, Florida, Fuzion’s VP of Operations Julie Peterson will moderate the session “Healthcare Workforce Challenges” produced by VP of Communications and Client Engagement Debbie Maas. Panel members will share their different perspectives on the challenges of healthcare workers burnout and quiet quitting, the impact this has on health and long-term care insurance claims, and trends in both people-based and innovative solutions.
